Square Enix e Dengeki hanno realizzato una live dedicata completamente a NieR: Automata, gioco sviluppato dai ragazzi di Platinum Games. Il gioco per PlayStation 4 e PC viene mostrato con ben 21 minuti di gameplay e, soprattutto, viene fatto il confronto tra PlayStation 4 Pro e la versione standard della console di casa Sony.
Platinum Games ha ammesso che sta cercando di realizzare NieR: Automata sfruttando al massimo l’hardware delle due console del colosso nipponico ma senza puntare ad una risoluzione incredibile, infatti su PS4 avremo una risoluzione di 900p mentre su PS4 Pro avremo i 1080p, tutto questo per avere un frame rate stabile a 60fps.
Inoltre, sono state presentate le collaborazioni NieR: Automata x Phantasy Star Online 2 e NieR: Automata x Monster Hunter Frontier Z.
PlayStation 4 Pro
NieR: Automata runs at 1600×900 resolution on PlayStation 4 and 1920×1080 resolution on PlayStation 4 Pro.
PlayStation 4 Pro adds motion blur, and increases the smoothness and refreshing feeling of the action.
PlayStation 4 Pro also has a richer expression of the atmosphere, from the sunlight filtering through the trees to the dust drifting about the air. Each line of light is drawn more sharply.
The shadows on PlayStation 4 Pro are finer detailed.
Engine Blade Weapon Story
The “Engine Blade,” which will appear in the game from Final Fantasy XV as part of a collaboration, will have a Weapon Story.
Collaborations
NieR: Automata will have collaborations with both Phantasy Star Online 2 and Monster Hunter Frontier Z.
Equipment from NieR: Automata will appear in Phantasy Star Online 2.
Weapons and armor from NieR: Automata will appear in Monster Hunter Frontier Z, and there may even be an original collaboration quest.
Details about both collaborations will be announced at a later date.
Books
Finally, Square Enix announced it will release a “Visual Guide” for the game on February 23 in Japan, the same day the game launches, and Kadokawa Books will release a “Creation Materials Collection & Perfect Walkthrough Book” in late March.
